Farmers Market at Ix, February 4, 2023

February already? Don’t look back, we’re forging ahead despite the predicted cold. The list below has the latest vendor’s signed up for this Saturday’s market. The first of the month is usually when Deep Roots Milling shows up with regionally grown grain freshly milled in Nelson County.

Our friends SImon and Mary return from Kenya and are ready to re-open their Bead Creations and Curios booth. In case you have not discovered, Swallow Barn Farm and Indigenous Harvest have brought an infusion to the meat supplies. Natural Roots Farm, Bellair, Nature’s Bridge Farm, Hog Haven, and Inglewood Farm also supply meats. We’ve got you covered for chicken, pork, yak, lamb, and beef.

The cold weather is hard on greens production, but Singing Earth Produce grows in greenhouses or hoophouses, so the supply of lettuces and greens continues. Bee Consious has microgreens. Thanks to winter storage, Agriberry has apples, jam and fruit products.

There is an abundant selection of baked goods and prepard foods to eat on site, or take home and enjoy in a cozy setting.

Thanks for supporting local growers and producers through winter. It keeps us all growing! Grab a reusable bag at our booth if you forgot yours, or drop some off. And get your SNAP tokens, and Fresh Match coupons for eligible food at our booth as well.

See you at the market.
