Market Central’s Farmers Market at Ix, May 24 Hours 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Be sure to stock up for the long Memorial Day weekend for your fruit and vegetable needs. Blueberries are just coming in, and other spring crops such as beets, and asparagus join the greens, carrots and radishes. A cucumber was seen last week and a few vendors with greenhouses have tomatoes. The season for garden plants and flowers (potted or cut) is on-going. The market also hosts a variety of meat, eggs, cheese, fish, CBD, pickles, jams and mushroom vendors. If you want help with the cooking, frozen pizza (Olive Branch garden), Ryba’s frozen pierogi, soups and sauces, and a broad range of baked goods make it easier. For ready to eat food, this week Khushbu with Indian food will attend from Richmond, joining SFG Foods, Sweet Janes crabcakes, Mexican Tacos, The Pie Guy for savory and sweet, Rum Punch Jamaican, Hog Haven breakfast sandwiches, Tico Loco crepes, Mary’s soft pretzels, Sugar Bear hand pies (they have a new product called puffins—pancake muffins!) MixEve seed puddings, and other breakfast treat vendors. FYI last week Mila’s, a new Turkish baked goods vendor joined us). The crumpet vendors have applied to attend when school is out. It is your week to find several gluten free and vegan bakers.

The map below lists each vendor, with more information provided by clicking on the vendor name. Be aware that some vendors are not always in the same space, so ask at the management booth before assuming that they are not there. The chock full market this week also includes artists and crafters with home goods and gift items.

Enjoy your weekend. Considering those who have sacrificed for democracy on Memorial Day, contemplate where we are.

See you at the market!
