A new weekend, a new market

Every day is different, as well as every market.

Let’s see what happens at the market tomorrow. The vendors are listed below. Some artisans have opted out because of the impending wind, and a few have other conflicts. But a good group of farmers, bakers, and artisans will be there, giving us a break from our weekly routine to see what they have grown or prepared. This week is our last week to have Rashad as the Assistant Manager of Market Central. We were grateful to have his service, and are sorry to have to say good-bye, but wish him the best in his next venture. We are currently writing a grant to hopefully receive funding from the Virginia Food Access Investment Fund. We want to strengthen our SNAP program and our sponsorship of small businesses within marginalized communities. When our most vulnerable community members do well, we all do well. If you feel like writing a letter of support, it would be welcomed.
