Farmers Market at Ix, July 2, 2022

Hello Friends,

The season of bounty has arrived. July brings almost all the gardent produce that can be grown in Central Virginia, save for a few of the mellons and later fruits that take a little longer. Peaches, raspberries and blueberries are in, and still overlapping with strawberries. Cucumbers, beans, squash, cabbage, corn, and even early tomatoes have arrived. The farmers will supply you with the essentails for a great 4th of July celebration.

The value added vendors continue to pop in and out as they keep up wth families, vacations, and life in general. We enjoy the variety as food producers and artisans surprise us with new products. This is the week that Deep Roots Milling attends, if you’d like to try just milled fresh flour.

Don’t forget if you need something mid-week, or want to get out for an evening, the Sunset Market is open on Thursdays, 4:30 - 7:30, and has a wide variety of art and food. Is it an art market with food, or a food market with art? The Ix Art Park Art Underground starts at 7:00.
