Farmers Market at Ix, August 20, 2022

We are officially 2/3 the way through summer. It has been a great growing season- the tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, melons, beans, peaches and more are plentiful. Farmers are beginning to plant their fall and winter crops,. Watch for September apples, with winter squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, gourds, flint corn and fall greens not far behind. The artisans and crafts people are beginning to stir in anticipation of the holiday market season. Here’s what’s new and interesting about the markets this week:

Our new Kombucha vendor, Soulsmith Kombucha is bopping around as we have space for her. She is in space 46 tomorrow.

Temalle Baskets will be in this week with their Ghannaian baskets.

Three woodcrafters are in this week!

Deus Detritis is a guest vendor with Critter Butts and Deep Holler Leatherwork this week.

Rumor has it that Tonoloway Farms will be making griddle cakes with Deep Roots Milling grain and their own tree syrups.

Maja Sanvang’s Pottery and Art will be setting up for the first time with us.

Hammered Inn, famous for hot peppers and sauce, are back. this week.

Be sure to check out the section on the plaza along the Sake Bar entrance. The vendors there tend to shift, so you don’t want to miss something new and wonderful. All vendors are listed with space locations. (subject to change at the last minute) Map is on the website.

Enjoy the market and thanks for coming.
