Hello Market Community,

We are always striving to make our market better, through opportunities to people with low resources, through better trash management, and better services to both vendors and customers. Occasionally I end up buying food from the grocery store. I appreciate that grocery stores have so much to offer, but their produce can’t hold a candle to locally grown, just picked local produce, flowers and value added products. The local baked goods have no weird shelf life stabilizers, and of course, each artisan here is one of a kind.

This Saturday, in the Sake Bar area on the Plaza, we have a convergence of ingredients for your menu this weekend: Scratch Pasta, Nona’s Italian Cocina, and Rappahannock River Mushrooms have everything you need for a great pasta dish. Top it off with parsley, local peppers and fresh tomatoes. mmm mmm.
