Farmers Market at Ix Art Park, May 6, 2023

Will it finally warm up for the Saturday Market? No matter, we will be there anyway with your favorite seasonal produce, garden plants, baked and prepared foods, and a variety of arts and homestead products. Deep Roots milling will set up as they do on the first Saturdays of the month, so get your fresh milled VA grown grain while you can. If you haven’t noticed, some of our vendors only come on alternate weeks. This weeks'‘ alternating vendors include Honeysuckle Creek Farm, Hammered Inn Farm and Gardens, Marci’s Morsels, and Fort Blenheim Candles. Get their products this week— next week we’ll have a different set of alternating vendors. Have you seen The Bubble Cloud Pastry girls? They are aspiring middle school girls making a go at starting a baked goods business, and come on an occasional basis.

This week the UVA Biology Outreach and Inclusion team has invited an Astronomy group to visit the market. The students always have eye-opening cutting edge information to share with the community. They will be across from the Market Central tent this Saturday.

Let us know if we can help you at the Market Central booth. We have reusable bags, gift cards, stickers, and information. SNAP clients can run their cards and get matched with Virginia Fresh Match to double their benefits. We look forward to seeing you at the market.

The following vendors have signed up for the market. Homestead Oven is out one more week, and will return May 13. Althea Bread is out as well. Little Hat Creek Farm, Bee Conscious, Family Ties and Pies, T’s Sweetz, Omar, Angel’s Afghan Cuisine, Bubble Cloud Pastries, Marci’s Morsels, and Moonmaiden’s Delights also make delicious breads and baked goods, some Keto, vegan and/or gluten free.
