Farmers Market at Ix Art Park, Sept 16, 2023

Hello Market Community,

We want to remind you that the market would not happen without your participation which supports local farms, local food, and local entrepreneurs. The Ix Art Park made a public statement this week that they are pausing programs to reassess their mission and catch up with funding. This situation does not affect Market Central, an idependent nonprofit, or the operations of the Farmers Market at Ix, or the Sunset Market. The Ix Art Park has been a sponsor and supporter of the markets, and will continue to be. However, we do need to address the future of markets in the community, and invite anyone interested in future forums to contact Market Central. We will be conducting community talks this fall and winter.

This week at the markets, we say goodbye to summer 2023! Although summer is ending, summer produce will be available a few more weeks. but pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, sweet potatoes, and greens are making their appearance. What a great summer season it has been! Hats off to the growers for their skill and expertise for growing fruits and vegetables unmatched in freshness and flavor to any shipped in products. We look forward to the fall season at the Market at Ix.
