Market Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They will change to 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on April 5, and change back in October.

Hello Market Community,

It’s hard to ignore the turmoil around us these days, but the market is a good way to get essential food while supporting local farms and the local economy. What we do for ourselves can help us cut through the chaos. However, we must say the that, now, two federal grants that Market Central had been awarded have been impacted. One has been held back, the other has been cancelled. Both had funding appropriated in Congress before the new administration took over. We will carry on with what we have, and look for opportunities. As a small independent non-profit, we are community driven, and have room on the board for leadership. Let us know at the management booth if you are interested in the future of our independent, non-profit farmers market.

The task at hand is to keep the market running, to connect community to local farms, food, and arts. And did I say fun? And social experience, dogs, kids, sights, sounds, tastes, colors and more.

So this week, the sad and unexpected news is that Eastern European Bakes has suddenly withdrawn from the market. We do not know the circumstances, but she let us know that she could no longer attend, and thanked us and wished us well. We wish her well, too, and hope that you all got a chance to try the honey cake!

Coming back this week are: Hi-D Pops, Broken Pieces, Hawksbill Pottery, Piece Pottery, Chanterelle Bakery, Moonmaiden’s Delights, Honeysuckle Creek Farm, Henley’s, Oriona Family Farm , Sweet Greens, and Charlotteville Poem store. This means we will be adding popsicles, pottery, gluten free and vegan baked goods, herbal products, poems, and glorious flowers to the mix of produce, apples, mushrooms, meat, honey baked goods, cheese, tempeh, and of course, eggs.
