little hat creek farm: WOOD-FIRED BAKER (F/T)

You will be trained according to your interests and aptitude. Tasks may include mixing, shaping, and baking bread, laminating, pastry make-up and baking, packing for market, dish-washing, oven management, snack production, packaging, and shipping. Our week is organized around Wednesday and Saturday farmers markets. We work during the daytime, and we strive to create a warm and welcoming workspace. Your main responsibility will be representing us at one of our farmers’ markets. Event tasks include setting up and breaking down a 10x20 farmer’s market stand, performing fast and accurate mental calculations, making changes, restocking products, handling products safely, creating beautiful displays, and facilitating a fun and social atmosphere in our stand. little hat creek farm: SEASONAL BAKERY STAFF (P/T)

Your main responsibilities will be assisting other bakers in production, and representing us at one or more of our farmers’ markets. Production tasks may include shaping croissants, making fillings, processing fruits and vegetables from our farm for use in the bakery, mixing doughs, feeding starters, shaping breads, scaling, pastry make-up, and cleaning. SNAP COMMUNITY COORDINATOR

Market Central is seeking an individual to coordinate and promote the current food access programs including SNAP. The person will work in the community and at the market to create relationships and provide insight into how farmers markets can link customers to food access and assistance. Current or previous SNAP recipients are encouraged to apply. This grant-funded position will pay $18/hr for up to 10 hours per week. This position has been filled.

Community Engagement Partner

Market Central is seeking an individual who has an interest in improving their community’s access and consumption of fresh, local produce. The position involves fostering relationships with community members, listening to suggestions and concerns relating to food access, market development, and advising Market Central. This is a grant-funded position. This position has been filled.

“We manufacture in Richmond, Virginia, natural cosmetics with real natural and fresh ingredients such as Okra, Aloe Vera, Honey, Hibiscus, Flaxseeds, and several other herbs.

We partner with local producers/farmers to source most of our ingredients. We also partner with small farmers in Cameroon and Senegal (Africa) to source our hibiscus flowers.”
