Farmers Market at Ix, Dec. 3, 2022

Hello Market Fans and Friends,

The weather will have a slight impact on the market tomorrow in terms of a few vendors who had to cancel because of predicted high winds. The farms and food producers will be there, but those with vulnerable products can’t risk damage. But we know vendors are a hardy lot, and you customers who love their food and art fall into the same category. We will be there for each other!

New and exciting; Pear is back! They will have their tempting array of cookies and baking for the Holidays, to add in the baking mix with Althea, Little Hat Creek, Moonmaiden’s Delights, T’s Sweetz, Family Ties and Pies, Bee Conscious, Ambrosia, Angel’s Afghan Cuisine, Meryem’s Homemade, and I think that is all unless you count Tonoloway Farms hot little pancakes with syrup! It is so hard to choose— they are all so good.

Have you tried Natural Roots Farm spiced apple cider? It is delicious and warming on a cold rainy day.

Some new artisans and crafters are joining us as more farmers bow out for the season: Mouseworks, Barbara Flemming’s Boxwood Wreaths, and Elena’s Wreaths. Vendors who only set up on the first of the month are Nona’s Italian Cucina, Atelier Owens, and Deep Roots Milling. Get these products while you can! Bottles and jars of jams, hot sauces, kimchi, kombucha, tree syrups and herbal products also make great gifts.

Other news: look for the Winter Solstice Markets at Ix on Dec. 21 and Dec. 22 from 4:00 until 8:00 for fun evening holiday markets. Stay tuned for information.

There is a new Leave One Take One reusable bag service at the Market Central booth, and the Winter Edible Blue Ridge magazine is out. Love that magazine!

The following vendor list is up to date as of Friday afternoon, but there may be last minute changes due to the weather .

Thanks so much, see you at the market.

Hours are 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.
