Sorry we missed writing our market blog last week. We were writing a federal Farmers Market Promotion grant. We are lucky that our federal government considers farmers markets worth investing in, because of their support for sustainable farm income, helping to alleviate food supply chains, producing food with a lower carbon footprint and boosting local economies. As a supporter of local food, you are investing in these benefits too, so thank you.

Sunset Market is growing! The farm choices are expanding. Adding to the fine produce and garden plants from Bellair Farm, Malcolm’s Market Garden is bringing strawberries and farm produce. Fae and Fauna is growing fabulous mushrooms, and Natural Roots farm brings an assortment of meats, eggs, milk shares, homesteading products, and prepares food, too. There’s a growing range of baked goods, prepared foods and artisan products too, so come out Thursday night, rain or shine. Ix Art Park Art from Underground activities start at 7:00. See you there!
