Sunset Market, 4/5; and Farmers Market at Ix, 4/7

Hello Friends,

This week we open the Thursday night market season with the Sunset Market. More farms, prepared foods and artisans give you options mid-week to access fresh local produce, late afternoon and evening snacks or meals, and for gift, home goods and art buying. We are a rain or shine market, but trust that we will be there, and be prepared for the often unsettled weather of summer evenings,

On Saturday, we welcome back some interesting vendors: Tonoloway farms who produce tree syrups; and Deep Roots Milling who produce flour from regionally grown grains at a historic water-powered mill in Nelson Co. The strawberry season is getting into full swing, and other early crops such as asparagus and radishes, are beginning to fill out the amazing selection of greens. This is the time to look for herb, vegetable, garden plants and cut flowers. Will the peonies be ready for Mothers Day?

Don’t forget to check out the artisan creations scattered throughout the market. The newly opened section on the plaza toward the building is home to more artisans.

Contact us if you know of folks looking for work. Both vendors and Market Central have positions open.

Last minute up-date for Saturday’s Market:

Bellavance Ink, LG’s Elixir, JBird Coffee (don’t worry we will still have Frolic Coffee), will not be setting up, some due to rain, some due to staff situations. JBird will have their shop in the main Ix building open.
