Farmers Market at Ix, 7/23/2022

Be very thankful that we have such excellent growers providing us with the best nutritious and delicious produce. According to NPR, the high heat of climate change is distressing plants which will affect the harvest. Do your part no matter how small, and bring your own bags, use compostable plastic if necessary, and compost and recycle. Support of local growers reduces the distance the produce travels, also reducing the carbon footpring.

Our new plant vendor, Piedmont Plant, did not make it last week, but hope things work out this week. Also, expected last week but coming this week from Richmond, is a new kombucha vendor, Soulsmith Kombucha. She has kombucha as well. A new mushroom vendor, Rapahannock River Mushrooms joins us for the firs time. Look for them on the plaza.
