Farmers Market at Ix, Saturday May 20, 2023 8:00 to 12:00

The weather looks nice, and the vendors are ready. What’s new? The Piedmont Master Gardeners are starting their season by setting up on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, so bring your gardening questions. Speaking of gardening, the season is just right for planting vegetables and flowers. Get them in soon before it gets too hot. The Biology Dept. at UVA will add to our science education with a presentation on DNA and Psychology. The Visitor’s Bureau will supplement grocery and arts shopping with tourist information for locals and guests. We support SNAP clients with matching incentive coupons to purchase eligible foods. Reusable bags and gift cards are available at the Market Central booth. We encourage everyone to use the recycling and composting services to keep our market and city green and sustainable.

The following vendors have signed up for Saturday. Althea Bread is out, but will be back on the 27th. Other bakers include: Moonmaiden’s Delights, Homestead Oven, Family Ties and Pies, Marci’s Morsels, T’s Sweetz, Stroopwafel Sisters, Bee Conscious, Angel’s Afghan Cuisine, Meryem’s Homemade, the Pie Guy, and Little Hat Creek. Do we really have that many? You will find something delicious!
