Memorial Day Weekend starts off at 8:00 a.m. at the Market at Ix. Find ingredients for your holiday menus and weekly groceries, as well as ready-to-eat breakfast and brunch treats. Coffee, teas, kombucha, smoothies, and other drinks are available to sip while you peruse the baked goods, prepared foods and arts. After the market, the Charlottesville Art Festival opens on the Ix Art Park plaza 3:00 p.m.

In behind-the-scene news, Market Central welcomes Nick Co to our board. His interest in serving stems from his recognition of the benefits farmers markets bring to make strong communities. He also brings a depth of technical expertise. We’re so pleased to have him join us.

In vendor news for Saturday, East Flora Wellness Tea, Big Soup, Muscleheart Sweets and Crescent Moon Confection return after some time out. Althea Bread, Family Ties and Pies, will be out. Your favorite farms, and many artists, all listed below, will be at the market.
