Farmers Market at Ix Art Park, June 29, 2024 Summer hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Fourth of July weekend is upon us! Stock up on fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, sauces, jams, and everything in between to enjoy with friends and family. The re are still colorful flowering plants available for gardens or planters. Thank goodness for the recent rain.

A strong line up of farms, the backbone of the market, will be in attendance, with the supporting cast of jams, sauces (Nona’s Italian Cucina), baked goods, prepared foods for your breakfast or take-away, and home goods and arts for gifts and home décor. One of the Launch Pad entrepreneurs, ElRoi Bath N’ Body, will be setting up with her shea butter products and testing her business development skills from the CIC. (Charlottesville Investment Collaborative). There are several pottery vendors attending this week. Use the Marketspread link for the maps, vendor locations, and links to vendor information. Non profit, The Sierra Club, will be attending, as will the voter registrars.

Also this Saturday in Booker T. Washington Park, Market Central will be participating in the Healthy Streets Healthy People public event, along with our Just Food Just Economy food access and business development partner, Bread and Roses. The event is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. HSHP

Coming up: Aug 4-10, 2024 is National Farmers Market Week. Take part in the Farmers Market Forum Tues, Aug 6, 4:oo to 5:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Madison Regional Library Central Branch, Swanson Room.
