Farmers Market at Ix, July 6, 2024 Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Ready for the heat? The farms will be ready at the Market at Ix before the heat sets in. Stock up early, and then stay cool for the week. Thank goodness for the rain so the crops will keep growing. There were quite a lot of late value added vendor cancellations this week, due to delayed truck repairs, family health care, vacations, etc. so it’s your opportunity to try something new. The fluctuations make us aware of the work behind keeping the market full. Baked goods, crumpets, breakfast foods, pottery, home goods, and arts are available this week. For local, fresh milled flour and grain, Deep Roots milling is attending this week. We welcome new vendor Farm at Red Hill, who makes hummus, salsa, and other sauces and dips.

National Farmers Market week is August 4-10, 2024. A farmers market forum is scheduled for Tues, Aug 6 from 4:00 to 5:30 at the main Jefferson Madison Library. Let’s share information about the current and future state of the markets in our area and keeping them going. At the market on Aug 10, there will be special food-related activities.
