Welcome back to the 8th winter season at the Farmers Market at Ix, brought to you by Market Central and the vendors. Our non-profit rents the space from Ix Art Park to connect local farms, food, and arts to the community.
Enjoy the balmy 40 degree temps at the Market at Ix this week. Take this opportunity to stock up on your local food favorites in preparation for the next cold wave coming early next week. Bring your umbrellas for a chance of rain or snow showers, and your reusable bags to stock up on vegetables, mushrooms, apples, baked goods, meats, fish, eggs, mead, kombucha, and several homesteading and herbal products. While at the market, coffee, tacos, tamales, breakfast sandwiches, and hot food are available. There is also a selection of prepared foods to take home and cook, such as crab cakes, pizza and empanadas. More vendors are returning under better weather conditiosn. SNAP may be used to purchase eligible food and is matched with VA Fresh Match incentive coupons for free fruits and vegetables.
