The Farmers Market at Ix is fully booked for Oct. 24. The crafts vendors are anxious to get in the market, but the farms are still going strong. However, we did have a frost in the area this week, and the farms will begin to slow production. Winter greens, sweet potatoes, root crops, cole crops, mushrooms, winter squash, apples and cider will replace the warm weather crops. Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, and Indian corn are the decorative crops. Enjoy them while they last.
Also at the market: prepared foods, baked goods, hot and cold beverages, honey, eggs, meats, fish, jams, sauces, and arts and crafts. Click on maps below to find vendors and their locations.
The Starr Hill Market on Sunday is holding a special fall festival with music, activities and an expanded vendor line-up. See poster below. For the Starr Hill market, 2 vendors could not be listed on the map due to technical limitations.
