Sunset Market Aug 11, 2022

It looks like we’ll finally get a break in the heat. The heat is the most challenging aspect of the Sunset Market. Vendors are very interested, but after experiencing 94 degrees at 4:30 on the plaza, or a crazy thunderstorm, their enthusiasm wanes. The same goes for the customers. In a future best case scenario, we will have a structure that protects from wind, rain and sun— not a building but something open air with solar power, etc. It is important for the community to have access to local farms, food and art on more days than Saturday.

We can think about the future of markets this National Farmers Market Week.

The following vendors have signed up for the Sunset Market this week: We have two new farmers, a popsicle vendor, and a henna art vendor joining our steady farm and art vendors.

JP Greenery, Bellair Farm, Mr. Tahini, Deus Detritis, Inglewood Farm Fine Meats, The Original Farmacy, Indulge In This, Chimm Taste, Made by MoMo, Foxy Epoxy, Baile MhicGuigan Firme, Free Range Innovations, Mountain Mint Henna & Crafts, Essentials by Edwards, Mystical Sunshine, Deviant Creations, Zensicles, the Be Initiative, Desserts Over Board, Valkyrie Aromatherapy.

The Farmers Market Pros have shared this template for a farmers market bingo game to keep our young market customers engaged:
