The cooler weather has arrived, and the sun really does set at the Sunset Market now. Late summer and fall vegetables are in supply, with Bellair, Chevy Chase, and DL Shipp farms bringing tomatoes, root vegetables, gourds, meats (Bellair now has chicken), and DL Shipp also branches out into canning and baking. Madison Mushrooms brings mushrooms and extracts, and Afton Mountain Elderberry brings elderberry syrup for winter health. Hands Off Maria is known for Guatemalan tamales, but also brings garden vegetables including tomatillos. We welcome the return of SFG Foods to the market with new recipes. Other food vendors may include Khadija’s Kitchen, Laziz produce, Philosophers Tea, but definitely It’s Mr. Baker for cake. The crafts selections include pottery, jewelry, weaving, beading, sewing, tie dye, and crochet work.. We welcome new vendor, Jupiter’s Pearl, with handmade soaps.
