Starr Hill Market at Jefferson School City Center 9:30-1:30
It’s tough starting a new market. The community really needs it- there are many more vendors and small businesses who need a venue than can fit in the Saturday markets. The vendors get discouraged in the smaller start up markets because they are not nearly as large and bustling as the large Saturday markets. The customers also need to see a good showing of essential and interesting products. The new space at Jefferson School is almost ideal. If we as customers and vendors make the commitment, the Starr Hill market can succeed in serving its purpose as needed.
Thanks for your support for this market, as small as it is. It takes a little time to achieve the right balance and trust on both sides. We have 2 more markets this season, and we hope to finish up in a positive direction.
This week we have September Sun for farm produce, Rum Punch with Jamaican food, Cloud Nine with S.E. Asian style baked goods, Old Nicks Pepper Preserves, and new art vendor, Unitimacy. The Finnish lawn game Molkky will start around 11:00. Hope to see you there!
