Farmers Market at Ix Nov. 8, 9 a.m.-1.pm.

Warm weather crops are phasing out, cool weather crops are abundant. Vendors with greenhouses or on the Eastern Shore still have tomatoes. Have you tried Henley’s popcorn? (unpopped). New vendor Oakshire Farms offers breakfast biscuits made from home raised ingredients and Double H Farm joins us for fall and winter, now that the Nelsen Market is closed for the season.

A plethora of baked goods is available, from pumpkin to other flavors. This week’s craft categories include herbal products, photography, beadwork, pottery, painting, graphic arts, woodwork, weaving, jewelry, candles, glasswork, textiles, tie-dye, leather work, sewing and miscellaneous creations! The Very Cherry Family, Lutra Village, and Mythic Makes showcase a variety of home decorations and useful items. Shopping here supports your local economy!

Consider serving on the Market Central board to help shape the future of farmers markets in our community. You’ll find us at the managers booth or leave a message on this post.

The situation with SNAP changes minute by minute. Check with Shakaya and Samantha for the latest information at the Market Central managers booth.

Check the link for all the participating vendors and their locations and we’ll see you at the market. The little Starr Hill market is Sunday.
