Farmers Market at Ix, July 26, 2025 Market Hours 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Last market in July. A few vendors have cancelled due to the effects of heat on their health. That brings up the topic of Resiliency in the face of climate change. The city, county and UVA are sponsoring community events to work together to prepare our resource systems to be ready for the impacts of climate change, including measures to keep access to local food resilient. We will cover topics from growing food, to strenthening the local market system, (more days, other locations, more farms?) to do-able solutions to mitigate climate change, such as planting trees. A team of local nonprofits are working together, and we will update you as plans are confirmed. We look forward to this work together!

Also coming up: National Farmer Market Week, August 3-9. Market Central will be hosting a few extra activites: a tomato tasting, a Taste of the Market event, and other features. Details will be clarified next week.

This week, we welcome the Hollows Co-op farm from Earlysville and Dyke. Check out their meats and produce. They have heritage breeds of chicken, pork, goat, turkeys, and eggs, as well as heirloom and adapted vegetables. The farmers cut their teeth working at Bellair farm!

A new pop-up pottery vendor will be setting up in Frolic Coffee’s spot, Jon Yager. Yes, Frolic Coffee is taking a well-earned break!

Hope you find what you are looking for this week. Use the map below to find vendors, their locations, and information about them. Visit us at the Market Central managers booth for information, insulated , zip-up market bags, market stickers, Edible Blue Ridge magazines, and water.
