Farmers Market at Ix, Jan. 17, 2026

Location Ix Art Park, 522 Second St. SE Winter Hours: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Week two in the 2026 market: weather is a little better, but not much! Stock up on produce tomorrow for the very cold week coming up. Local folks and vendors are are keeping the winter outdoor market going for us all. Come to the conversation at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center auditorium Saturday, after the market 2:30-5:00 to discuss strategies for farms and markets to stay resilient during climate change. We can discuss a future vision for markets in Charlottesville. Both the City Market and the Farmers Market at Ix have to pay a heavy price to use the land that they are on, preventing investing in the infrastructure, the possibility of opening more often, hosting different types of markets, or making innovative, community driven changes such as adding solar power. Everyone is welcome to attend.

This week we have a surprising 44 vendors signed up. You’ll find winter keeping produce such as root vegetables, winter squash, hardy greens, microgreens, apples, mushrooms, meats, fish, jams, pickles, pasta, cheese, juice bread and baked goods. Prepared foods are available, and foods to take home such as frozen pizza , empanadas., or batter for crab cakes. A variety of homesteading products such as herbal products, candles, jewelry, hand made paper, and pottery is available. The link to the vendor map will show you who is attending and where they are located. Hopefully, the vendors have added information about themselves on the link!

Thanks for your continued support and we’ll see you at the market!
