Hello Friends, We’re back! And so it local food. Although without any shelter, the rough weather can be bumpy. So let’s resolve to make improvements for the future. See information about the “Growing Response to Climate Change” below.
As for tomorrow, the vendors who are on the map linked below have signed up to join us. However, the rain may cause last minute cancellations. Some of our vendors are coming from Richmond, and driving conditions may be bad. Or products may be damaged by blowing rain.
Vendors will be able to offer meat, fish, eggs, root vegetables, mushrooms, prepared foods, pickles, and baked goods. We have a new bread baker from Staunton, Grain Story, who is bringing bread baked with heritage and unique species of grain.
We appreciate the commitment our vendors make to set up at the market, in less than desirable weather. We hope you are able to come out and support them. You’ll be rewarded with better food than what’s shipped in from Fl, CA, and far away.
Panelists for Jan 17 so far include Bellair Farm, Peacemeal Farm, and Piedmont Master Gardeners.
