Farmers Market at Ix, July 27, 2024
Last Market in July! The weather has shifted and we’re finally getting rain. The farmers are managing to bring in high quality produce in spite of difficult conditions. We’ve heard farmers mention smaller blueberries due to lack of rain during their development, and tomatoes won’t set fruit if the night temperatures are too high. As a Farmers Market at Ix customers, you are supporting local farms and food producers through tough seasons.
As a farmers market shopper and supporter, we invite you to the Farmers Market Forum on Tuesday Aug. 6, at the Central Library Swanson Room, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. to celebrate our local farmers markets for National Farmers Market Week. Let’s review the status of our markets and all the moving parts, how we got here, and where we are going. As a non-profit organization, we need and value community input to position the markets for long term sustainability. Markets for all should be made by al! Market Forum information
